MONDAY 03/01/10
Went to lunch at Miranda…again…I had been there twice already, and it was so good, I just had to go again. I ended up meeting a guy from Kenosha, WI, Giancarlo, who’s been a banker in San Francisco for the last 3 years and gave it up, went to Patagonia with his parents for 3 weeks and decided to stay in Buenos Aires for a month. We had some great conversation and he took me around to a jeans shop where he bought a pair earlier in the week.
Went home and relaxed a bit and then later, met back up with Giancarlo for dinner. The place he had suggested evidently closed since his friend had recommended it to him, so we went to a nearby restaurant in Palermo Soho and had a fabulous bottle of wine and a meat and cheese plate – it was so great to find some quality meat, cheese, and wine and have stimulating conversation! From there, we wandered into Palermo Hollywood to a ceviche restaurant. They specialize in Peruvian style ceviche and sushi – again, SO wonderful!
