WEDNESDAY 02/10/10
A pretty normal day. Went grocery shopping for the first time by myself: looked for a toilet bowl brush and cleaner – found the brush, but no cleaner (realized that they tend to use multi-purpose cleaning products for everything); couldn’t find any parmesan cheese to go with the cheap tortellini and “marinara” sauce in a bag that I purchased; and olive oil is not so cheap – I’m so used to Spain’s ridiculously large containers of olive oil that are cheaper than a stick of butter.
Went to a different yoga class – also led by an American, Katrina. She was really sweet, but the class wasn’t exactly what I’m used to. We caught the bus back to the Subte together, and it turns out she lived in L.A. for 3 years and was an avid salsa dancer. Unfortunately, her boyfriend’s Argentine and she doesn’t go out as often anymore.
Took the night in – made the tortellini for Tyrone and I, and then we watched the 2nd episode of the Sopranos on our “movie theater.”
