One of John’s French co-workers was in town and we took him to La Enfundá la Mandolina.
Afterward, we were in search of Bar Milión, a bar that John kept raving about – upon arriving, we found the doors to be closed. I guess Argentine’s don’t stay out late on a Monday night…but Americans do. We followed a couple of Argentines to a bar across the road, El Alamo. We assumed that since Argentines were going, it would be good, even though I remembered hearing of it being a bit “shankee” (Yankee). As we entered, it became apparent that “a bit” was a complete understatement. American football was on all of the screens, the drinks were American and the vibe felt like I was back in a college campus bar.
