FRIDAY 03/26/10
Fernando and I had a very nice afternoon of wandering around Buenos Aires. We tried our first Starbucks dulce de leche frappuccinos, walked down to Puerto Madero for lunch and then around Microcentro. In the evening, we went to a concert at the Casa Nacional del Bicentenario. Since the weather was very pleasant, the concert was out in the plaza with reclining wooden chairs set up – just perfect after a day of walking. Both musicians were from Cordoba and sang a variety of styles – from samba to chacarera to huayno. The first was fantastic and she played a huge drum. The second was much to confident for the talent that she lacked. It was still a wonderful time to sit outside and lounge.
